Minecraft servers

From LizardWiki, FastLizard4's wiki and website

This page is a list of Minecraft servers that are hosted off of LizardNet. Unless otherwise noted, the servers are run by me (FastLizard4).

Please remember to visit the various servers' information pages (linked to in the tables below) and to follow all rules. Failure to comply with rules may result in a ban.

Public servers

LizardNet Minecraft formerly ran public (or, more accurately, "semi-private") servers which required whitelisting but had a public application process that anyone could apply through. This is no longer the case, and all LizardNet Minecraft servers are now private.

Private servers

Private servers are Minecraft servers that are restricted access; you may only connect to or play on the servers if you have been previously and explicitly authorized to do so. Unlike the semi-private servers, applications/requests to join these servers are not accepted; in other words, they are either by invitation only or are only open to a specific set of people. Refer to the server information pages to see who is allowed to play on these private servers.

Closed servers

These servers are no longer operational. They are listed here for historical reference.

The links below are for additional Minecraft-related resources here on LizardWiki that may be of use to you.

CID scheme

Originally, the CIDs were defined using the following scheme

   [msca][0-9]+p?x?

The red group is a prefix of either "m", "s", "c", or "a" for minigame, survival, creative, and adventure respectively. The blue group is a number that is incremented for each server in each prefix group to make the identifier unique with indexing starting at 1 (e.g., s1, s2, s3, c1, c1, c3, a1, a2, a3, etc.). If the server is a PvP server, a "p" (the green group) is appended to the end of the identifier, and if the server is hardcore, a "x" (the orange group) is appended to the end of the CID.

In practice though, the suffixes ended up not being used (e.g., s2 is now a PvP-enabled server, but is still referred to as s2, not s2p).

Notes

  1. Jump up to: 1.0 1.1 CID stands for Canonical Identifier, which is the internal name of the server. CIDs starting with "s" identify survival servers, CIDs starting with "c" identify creative servers, and CIDs starting with "a" identify adventure servers.
  2. Jump up to: 2.0 2.1 If you are trying to connect to a server operating on any port other than the default, you need to specify the port after the address with a colon. For example, to connect to the Minecraft server on host ridley.fastlizard4.org and port 25566, you'd enter ridley.fastlizard4.org:25566 into Minecraft.
  3. Jump up to: 3.0 3.1 In a PvP, or Player versus Player, server players may attack and kill each other. In a PvE, or Player versus Environment, server players may not attack each other.
  4. Jump up to: 4.0 4.1 Number of people allowed to be on the server at one time. Can be increased if necessary, but this change - like any other configuration change - requires restarting the Minecraft server.
  5. Jump up to: 5.0 5.1 Not actually a Google Map, but a map of the Minecraft map that is web accessible using the Google Maps API. Maps hosted on LizardNet are usually updated every six hours on multiples of six (i.e., 00:00, 06:00, 12:00, and 18:00) UTC.
  6. Jump up PvP is allowed; griefing is not.
